Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency
Magnesium deficiency is evidenced by general symptoms that may result from different medical conditions. A physician is best equipped to safely make the final determination.
General symptoms include:
- loss of appetite
- nausea
- vomiting
- fatigue
- weakness
As the condition progresses, there may be the following symptoms:
- numbness
- tingling
- muscle contractions and cramps
- seizures
- personality changes
- abnormal heart rhythms
- coronary spasms
If the condition becomes more severe, there may be a presence of low levels of calcium or potassium in the blood.
